*GAMING RETURNS (SATURDAY UPDATE)* The updated bit! From June 12th I will also be doing Saturday gaming sessions! 3 tables available per Saturday and I will be opening an extra hour (11-3) to allow for your games to run on a bit!... All the other info and rules below still apply! Yes, you read that right, after long months of sitting around, painting those grey plastic piles of shame you can finally use them!! Casual wargaming is returning, albiet in a limited fashion, from the 21st May! To start with I will have 3 tables available for booking on Friday evenings from 4pm until 8:30pm. The shop will also be open those times for retail purposes. If you wish to book a table please message me either on my personal Facebook messenger or via the Alpha Games page, DO NOT ASK HERE AS I MIGHT NOT SEE IT. I will need: Your name, Your opponents name, Date you want, Game system (So I can get appropriate scenery out) Places will be on a first come, first served basis and if you book a table please ensure you let me know asap if you are not going to make it so someone else can get a game instead. As before there are some rules in place to protect everyone: 1. Masks are required inside when not at your table. 2. You are expected to respect and maintain social distance rules and to sign in or leave details for Track and Trace. (This is a legal requirement for me) 3. Toilet facilites WILL NOT be available. 4. Limited cans, crisps and chocolate WILL be available but no hot food or drinks. 5. Alpha Games WILL NOT be lending dice/tape measures etc.  6. Scenery will be set up in advance, please speak to me if you require something else. 7. Max 4 players per table and please stay at your table whenever possible. Providing this all works out well I will be looking to extend the casual wargaming again in the very near future and also looking to get some Magic and other small stuff going again in June. *BLOOD BOWL LEAGUE* It's been a while since any balls have been thrown in anger and I am missing the sound of chainsaws, steamrollers and players swearing at their dice! So, to fix these things the Alpha Blood Bowl league will be starting again soon!... I have had a chat with our league co-ordinator, Ben Fiske, and we have decided that we will be starting from scratch given the time that has elapsed and the whole new edition thing. Those who were a part of the previous league will get free entry into this league if they wish to participate. *DOMINION WEEKEND* Only 3 more days until Dominion is upon us along with the fancy new Age of Sigmar rules and other cool new bits! *Modern Horizons 2* Modern Horizons has arrived! These will be available from tomorrow evening, 4pm for collection! *NEW RELEASES* Another big week for new releases, this time in actual size! We have 3 new models for Age of Sigmar and they are certainly big guys!... We have Dexcessa The Talon of Slaanesh, For the Seraphon we have Lord Kroak and finally we have the big boy of Destruction, Kragnos, The End of Empires! There are also 4 new battleforce/start collecting boxes based around the Broken Realms: Beastmen: The Butcher Herd,  Skaven: Rattachak's Doom-Coven Slaanesh: The Exquisite Pursuit Sylvaneth: Drycha's Spitegrove The Sylvaneth also get some additional reinforcement in the form of the Warsong Revenant. Finally for AoS we have Galen and Doralia Ven Denst for the Cities of Sigmar and Melusai Ironscale for the Daughters of Khaine. It's not all Sigmar though, for the 40k players we have the new Chapter Approved, all the latest points for all the armies!

*MAGIC AND EVENTS - THE RETURN!* We have all waitied patiently(ish) for the day when gaming can start to return and, finally, it is almost here! I am pleased to announce that, from the 30th July, Magic and Wargaming events will be returning to Alpha Games! While I understand that everyone is looking forward to getting back to the tables please be aware that this is going to be a slow process. I am aiming to get back to normal as soon as I can but keeping everyone safe is still my top priority, we are far to close to the end to make mistakes now. With this in mind, events are going to be limited to 8 players for the near future. I will keep an eye on the situation and, as soon as I feel it is safe to do so, expand events and casual gaming accordingly. With this awesome news will come some new opening times *FROM THE 30th JULY* MONDAY -    Closed TUESDAY -   Closed WEDNESDAY - Will remain as is for now 4pm-7pm to allow people to grab any mid-week supplies. No gaming will be available. THURSDAY -  Closed FRIDAY -    Friday will remain casual wargaming night and I will be increasing the available tables to 4 (Max 4 players per table), booking is still required.  Booking remains the same, message me. either via the shop or personal Facebook, to let me know your opponent and game system so I can set an appropriate table.     -Friday will now see the return of Friday Night Magic events,  details to follow.   -To accomodate this Friday opening times will change to                          4pm-11pm. SATURDAY -  Saturday will now be a wargaming event day. Various events will be scheduled soon for August! -Saturday will also see the return of the Saturday Showdown  Magic events, again, details to follow! -Saturday opening hours will now be 11am-8pm. SUNDAY -    Sunday will also be a wargaming event day. With reduced numbers for events I want everyone to get the chance to play so I will be doubling up on some events over August. -Sunday opening hours will also be 11am-8pm. The shop will, of course, be open for retail during all these new hours. With all this new stuff happening there are also going to be a few other changes to help everything work and keep everyone safe: SHOP -  I will be removing the limit on 1 person/household in the shop at once. Still no licking just yet though (Unless between consenting adults) MASKS - I will still require people to wear masks while in the retail area and while moving around the gaming spaces. While at your tables masks can be removed.  TOILETS - Will be reopening. These will be cleaned as often as possible but I do require people to take some responsibility and clean up after themselves if required. FOOD and DRINK -  Cans and snacks will be available and hot food and drinks will be returning to the menu. Please remember that food and drink not purchased in-store is not permitted. I realise that this may not be exactly what everyone was hoping for but I hope you can all understand why it has to be this way for a little while. Fingers crossed that it will not be for long and we can return the days of the long, long ago soon enough. Looking forward to seeing you at the tables soon and be sure to keep an eye on the page over the next week for the first of the events!

*NEW RELEASES* Some great new stuff this week for everyone! For 40k we have the brand new Sisters of Battle Combat Patrol along with a brand new character, the Relinquant at Arms Aestred Thurga and the powerful Castigator main battle tank. There is also the new datacards for the cracking Sector Mechanicus scenery. For Necromunda we have some reinforcements for the Delaque gang alongside their new book, House of Shadow and the new dice and datacards. There are also some Orlock upgrades to further equip your gangers. Finally for the Magic players we have the Forgotten Realms Gift Bundles, 10 regular packs and a Collectors pack along with the usual giant dice and other bits!

*MAGIC STORE CHAMPIONSHIPS* These awesome events are returning to stores from December 4th! A one day event, with some awesome promo cards up for grabs, the Store Championships are a chance to gain some competitive Magic experience and also have a great day of spell-slinging! A swiss event with a number of rounds based on attending numbers followed by a top 8 cut (Numbers permitting) run at competitive REL! A choice of formats is available for this event, so I will be posting a poll in the Alpha Magic group, head on over to cast your vote on the format you would like to play! *POKEMON EVOLVING SKIES* Good news and bad news for this release. Good news:... Booster boxes will be available this Friday, they are super limited so if you have not already pre-ordered then message me soon to secure yours! Bad news: Elite Trainer boxes have been delayed by at least 2 weeks. If you have pre-ordered with me then I will let you know as soon as I have a more firm date. *WAAAGH* The WAAAGH arrives at Alpha Games! This week sees a whole host of shiny new gubbinz for those pesky Orks! To start we have the long-awaited release of the new Codex and Datacards along with some new Orky dice.... We have the stand-alone release of the new Beast Snagga Boyz and cracking Squighog Riders, first seen in the Beast Snagga box set, along with a Beastboss and Zodgrod Wortsnagga himself to lead them! And there is still more! We also have the brand new Big 'Ed Bossbunker to inspire a bit more courage in those cowardly Greenskins and the new Battlewagon to get them to krumping quicker! *ALPHA DICE RETURN* That's right, they have been away for far too long but they are back! With 9 amazing colours to choose from, these dice are sure to turn heads and roll lots of 6's (Probably, no guarantees!) To welcome back these dice to Alpha, the entire first run will be only £10 for a pack of 10 (regular price £12). Also, be on the look out once I start running larger events as there are rumours there might be some special dice up for grabs for the top players!
